Raised in a city that is fast becoming the next fashion mecca for artists and designers, Stephanie has skillfully carved out a place for herself in Portland, Oregon. Coming up in a family of creativity where art and music was a part of daily life, Stephanie was encouraged to experiment with designing and sketching. She grew very passionate about certain material and eventually became obsessed with fabric and its natural kinship to the body.
After 15 years running her own business in hair design, Stephanie finally returned to her true passion in apparel design. She attended the Art Institute of Portland where she was able to nurture her creativity, and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in apparel design.
Stephanie launched her fashion business 2008 with a bridal collection that quickly became recognized for its elegance and impeccable designs. This success led to the introduction of the Stephanie D. Couture ready-to-wear collection three years later.
All of Stephanie’s collection incorporates the principle of haute couture by focusing on fashion, quality and fit. Through her work, Stephanie is able to translate her vision of beauty, feminine, sophistication, and modernity into pieces that women truly feel elation in wearing.
