Raised in a city that is fast becoming the next fashion mecca for artists and designers,
Stephanie has skillfully carved out a place for herself in Portland, Oregon. Coming up in
a family of creativity where art and music was a part of daily life, Stephanie was
encouraged to experiment with designing and sketching. She grew very passionate
about certain material and eventually became obsessed with fabric and its natural kinship
to the body.
After ten years running her own business in hair design, Stephanie finally returned to her
true passion in apparel design. She attended the Art Institute of Portland where she was
able to nurture her creativity and eventually graduated at the top of her class.
While studying at the Art Institute of Portland, Stephanie delved into the very unique diagonal
draping techniques of the late Madeline Vionnet. Stephanie fell in love with how Vionnet’s
designs matched the curves of a woman’s figure, while echoing its fluidity of motion.
Now with a Bachelor’s degree in apparel design, Stephanie is currently working on her own
label while consulting for individuals seeking custom made, and one-of-a-kind designs.
